ALL THE INFORMATIONS
ABOUT THE TWO CINEMA WORKSHOPS

Why these 2 workshops? And for whom?

The Film'Ô festival highlights adults who sign but face barriers to entering in the world of cinema because of the lack of access to learning film techniques in Sign Language. To meet this need, two workshops are proposed:

1. Basic film techniques: to learn the fundamentals of film techniques (camera operator, director, etc.).

2. The tools for telling a story in film: to acquire the knowledge needed and make a real short film. These workshops are for signing adults only and can receive up to 12 participants.

The aims of these workshops

These basic film technique workshops will enable adults to develop their skills in a friendly atmosphere.

The objectives are as follows :

Understand the construction of a film in the various film professions (director, cameraman, editor, scriptwriter, etc.).
Discover the fundamentals of the exposure triangle in the camera (aperture, speed, ISO, ND filters).
Dare to create a cinematographic work by putting their creative ideas into practice.
Shoot various scenes on site in optimum conditions (framing, lighting, etc.), just like on a real film set.
Successfully create a captivating story to capture the audience's interest.
Develop self-confidence while enjoying teamwork and discovering the world of film.
Enhance their future prospects by developing new skills and discovering opportunities in the film industry.

Who is helping these adults?

They will be guided and encouraged by two dynamic and caring deaf teachers, ready to pass on their know-how with enthusiasm.
